COMMUNITY-BASED SERVICES
St. Charles offers a continuum of care designed to assist youth, adults, and families address today’s challenges, including:
Family Intervention Support and Services (FISS)
This program is an early intervention initiative that provides case management, parent assistance, crisis stabilization, counseling, and household management services for families with youth whose uncontrollable behaviors lead parents to seek court involvement.
Intensive Family Development Services
This program makes therapy and educational services available for youth who are at risk for an out-of-home placement due to mental health issues.
Family Educators
The Family Educators program provides a Parent Educator, who works side-by-side with family members to ensure caregivers acquire solid parenting skills, in those situations in which there is serious risk of child maltreatment.
Wraparound Care Coordination
For youth who have a diagnosed severe emotional disorder, are at risk for out-of-home placement, and have been court-ordered into the program, St. Charles coordinates an array of family-centered services designed to keep youth safely at home.
WIser Choice/Access to Recovery
St. Charles offers support services for adults recovering from alcohol or other drug abuse, particularly those who are ex-offenders on probation or parole, at risk of incarceration, or related to a child or family member reentering the community.
Educational Support Program
Designed to prevent youth from dropping out of school, the program offers individual and family counseling, life management training, and alternative education strategies focused on improving school and interpersonal skills.
Level II In-Home Monitoring
An early intervention program for adjudicated youth, St. Charles contacts referred youth daily and monitors them to prevent further delinquency.
Responsible Fatherhood
St. Charles offers federally funded parenting and employment preparation assistance for fathers in Racine and Kenosha Counties.
Healthy Marriage Initiative
This program promotes the value and benefits of healthy relationships and marriage through skills-based training and education.
Family Development Center
St. Charles operates a licensed Mental Health & Substance Abuse Outpatient Clinic serving both children and adults.
Support Services
The organization provides such services as group counseling, parenting assistance, crisis stabilization, and more in order to address the social and interpersonal issues interfering in the daily lives of individuals or families.
Treatment Foster Care Services
For those individuals and families interested in becoming a Treatment Foster Care provider for youth, St. Charles provides licensing and ongoing support services.
