EDUCATIONAL SERVICES
Education is essential to future achievement. Recognizing this, St. Charles offers several educational programs addressing the special needs of youth, including:
Success Academy
This individualized program helps students referred by Milwaukee Public Schools overcome inappropriate behaviors that are creating barriers to academic success.
Educational Center
St. Charles’ Educational Center provides a structured learning environment for students with special education needs, individualized to help them develop the positive education and behavioral skills needed to succeed in their community school.
Intensive Day Treatment
An alternative to an out-of-home placement, the Intensive Day Treatment program provides educational and individual/family counseling services for Milwaukee County Children’s Court-referred youth as a way of developing the skills to manage mental health challenges and increase functioning in school, at home, and in the community.
Mental Health Day Treatment
For youth diagnosed with mental illness or severe emotional disorders, the Mental Health Day Treatment program provides the tools to manage mental health issues (e.g., anger, ADD, depression, etc.), enabling them to increase school attendance and academic performance as well as improve relationships with family, friends, and community members.
